I've always loved the classic movie "The Sandlot". Been a long time since I've seen it last, but I found it in the $5 Wal-mart bin (actually Britt bought it for Nate and that gave me the idea). Anyways, we brought it home and the kids were excited to watch it, Brooklyn and Trace having already seen it. I thought it would be this fun little show and enjoyable of course. But Brenton was scared bonkers by the dog, I think they call him "The Beast". He had his blanket over his head the entire dog parts (half the movie) and had it ready just in case for the rest of the movie. Somehow we have to toughen up our two boys (Trace would cry watching Lion King and Winnie the Pooh). Chad says I did it to them......... but I guess I always liked a guy with a sensitive side. I figure we need to work them more and give them more responsibilities, so they joined 4H. Trace doing pigs and Brenton showing the rough and tough bunny. I know it'll take much more than 4H, but I hope we can eventually turn them from boys to hard working men.

LOL This is to funny. Brent says I made my boys Mamma boys to. Oh well they love me. They grow up to fast.
As far as the movie I twins love it. They even say "your killing me Smalls". Good Flick.
That is hilarious! I was just thinking yesterday how excited I am to see your kids in May. I was looking at the pic with your kids at Christmas time with Hallie holding the sucker, and it made me think how much they must have all grown since we were home last...Miss you guys. Love ya!
P.S. I'm glad that you are posting to your blog. It's fun to see what your kids are up to, especially since we aren't able to visit often. Keep it up, looks good!
Kevin cried when we went to Bambi in the Theater. I can't remember how old he was but he still won't watch it to this day. And he's pretty macho. Ed always gave the boys something hard to do and I was always saying "they can't do that" But they did it. Thanks to Ed they turned out to be pretty great guys who liked to work. I shutter to think what would have happened if I would have got my way.

Jaycie!!! I didn't know you had a blog! That's great!! I have to admit, those dog parts in the Sandlot movie are a little scary, really! I am sure they will grow up to be great Men;)
hello Jaycie! I have soo not been paying attention, how long have you been blogging?...I knew you would join the crew, it was only a matter of time :) and glad to have you! You guys have such a cool family, your picture says it all!!!
I love-love the sandlot but I agree with Brenton, that is one massive dog with a whole lot of slobber!
So funny. What a great movie. I guess I can see how that dog would be scary. So fun though, now I get to see your kids all the time on your blog & actually feel like I know them. :)
Just popping by from Jaime's blog to welcome you to blogland! What a cute family you have.
you should check my blog. I gave you a little shout out. :) Love ya.
Funny. That dog scared me too. Let the boys be scared for now. They'll have to face the real, scary world soon enough. Too funny. Welcome to the blogging world.

ha ha ha, don't be embarrassed. There's no need. I don't have that many "regulars", although I wish more people read my blog & commented.
I believe the only way to get rid of the "amp" is to take out the "&" sign and just write in "and" or you could do something like "the cole's" or "cj cole" or something like that. I'll investigate though and see if I can figure it out. It is probably one of those stupid HTML code things that just needs some tweeking.
Dropping by from Jaime's blog! One of my best friends told me a story about her nephew when he was 5 years old. He insisted that he was old enough to watch Jurassic Park. His mom kept telling him, Not Yet. Wait until you're older. Finally after tons of naggin she caved.
Their basement was the t.v. room. While he was watching the movie she had friends over for a craft afternoon. All they could hear was screaming and dinos roaring! She'd yell down, "Do you want to turn it off?" He would say, "No! I just gotta get through this mom! I gotta get through this!" He has never watched that movie again! LOL!!
